Anibal Cruz-Cesar - Producer

Cuban Pianist, Composer, Arranger, and Bandleader Anibal Cruz started as a classical pianist at the age of 8 years old in his native Cuba. He graduated from the Conservatory Jose White in Camaguey and the University of Arts (ISA) in Havana, where he began his career as a composer. At the age of 24, he received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in the United States, where he settled in 2013 and is currently finishing both performance and composition majors.

Anibal is not only one of our producers he’s also one of our featured Soloist Artists and acts as Musical Director of two of our most prominent bands Clave & Blues and The Blue Island Project.

Irisley Luis-Gomez (Iris) - Executive Producer

First and foremost, Irisley Luis-Gómez is passionate about putting music out into the world. A classically trained guitarist and an emerging bass player and composer, she is a versatile musician who has performed internationally in Cuba, Mexico, and the US, and also a strong presence in the Boston music scene as a Performer, Educator, and Music Manager.

She is the Executive Producer for C&B Productions, whose most recent production, La Raza by Anibal Cruz and Keisel Jimenez, was released in February 2021. Irisley is the bass player and manager for the Boston-based band Clave & Blues. She has showcased this talented group at WBUR CitySpace Radio Station, the Franklin Park Concert and Art Festival with the Boston POPS-Symphony Orchestra, the Lawrence Jazz Festival, Berklee College of Music, Harvard University, The Tito Puente Music Series, Johnny D's, and many others.
